*My curious title refers to some topics overheard during the superhero trekking adventures that follow… =)
Last month, my friends Erin, Yan and Anna came for a visit to Tansen, Palpa, making the long trip all the way from Washington, DC and Delhi, India. It was a blast to see them and spend time together experiencing the beauty of Nepal’s Himalayas during our (brief but action-packed) Poon Hill/ Ghorepani trek!
It was so special to see the familiar face of my friend Erin from back home, and to have a chance to share this strange, wonderful world with her two great friends. =)
These girls were indeed tireless in their pursuit of fun and festivity! In addition to four solid days of trekking and an evening in Pokhara, we also made a visit several hours south to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, then doubled back to spend a final, fun night in Tansen. On their own, they also had a chance to explore the sights and sounds of Kathmandu & Patan, getting a glimpse of the Hindu-Buddhist-Newari confluence of cultures there. All in just ten days. (Take that, Jet-Lag!)
