And now for a brief public service announcement about…
The Internship Program at United Mission to Nepal
Since UMN’s Internship Program was developed nearly a decade ago, it has been a tremendous way of training and equipping young Nepali Christians to serve in a range of ministries throughout Nepal. It’s one important way that UMN serves Christ’s body in Nepal. This program contributes significantly to the development work being done here by investing in an increasingly strong indigenous Nepali base.
Unfortunately, the program is very short of funding for the next batch, and has therefore had to postpone accepting new Nepali interns until July. The cost for the year-long program is USD $2000 per intern. This includes a small stipend, as well as training, travel, administrative and living expenses. (In light of all that, it may be one of the cheapest internships worldwide!)
I would ask you to prayerfully consider financially supporting one of these interns as they go through their training, perhaps even making a commitment together as a church or care group. This is a simple yet beautiful way to participate in what God is doing in Nepal. Come alongside Nepali youth as they grow in their understanding of His call to serve, and are strengthened to meet the many needs around them.
